Profile: You do not become multi champions overnight. How was this feat accomplished?

The lads started competing in Nav trials in `88 taking part mainly on TAC events. 1994 began a very fruitful era in which they started out with a 3rd 0/a 2nd in class. A remarkable three seasons followed in which they became triple champions beating all before them.

In 1997 a Mk 2 escort was constructed from the ground up with the aim of  "having a dabble in the lanes." Results soon flowed in, to include the WSSCC Starlight, 20th O/a 1st beginner. Next, the `88 Saw & Weld, seeded at 4 on their 3rd road rally, a reasonable(!) 2nd o/a, 1st in novice class was the outcome. 1999 & Ian drove Dave Lewis, broth in law, and managed 9th o/a. `99 also saw an o/a win with "H" at the wheel, the Starlight being the event.

Mind that re-spray!

2000
This was a busy time, Kid MCC navi-c/ship, selected road rallies and trials. Results again seemed to flow in, including  K.M.C.C Nov auto test champion, 1st novice driver on Starlight and 4th o/a in the NE challenge. A reasonably quiet 2001 care of the epidemic allowed the "Dilly" a re-paint and a well earned rest.

2002
Began with a 1st o/a for Anth in the K.M.C.C. nav c/s & 2nd o/a for Ian.
Three road rallies entered during '02, Moonbeam (driven by Simon Bentley.) Retired, exhaust problems. Holrus: held on the infamous Epynt ranges, served a driving Ian with 20th o/a & the lads were back together on the Starlight to score an excellent 2nd o/a.
