Class winner: 95/96 season.

Profile:

Approached  Northern Exposure during the 94/95 inaugural season, after an invite from Dick Lee/Karl Ellis.

Originally used to compete with Richard Edwards, then teamed up with various navs, most recently completed the 00/01 season with Gwyneth Loader. I’m generally taking a more relaxed attitude to NExposure with the emphasis on fun and a good social night out!

Have been known to sit the LH seat on a couple of occasions but generally sick as a result!

Hobbies include aviation, photography, motor sport, walking and cycling.

My main interests being aviation and aviation photography. Although I used to glide, the money ran out and the weight went on, hence my ‘wings were clipped’ A few years further on and I’ve taken to photographing or writing about aviation. I submit articles / photos / stories to books or magazines as a freelance in my spare time and have had quite a bit of work published. As well as aviation magazines, the RAF and aviation manufacturers have also published some of my work. A recent example of this was a 7 page magazine feature on the Central Counties Police Helicopter, which was turned into a sales brochure for McAlpine Helicopters. At the moment the photography does not provide an income but simply provides a way of paying for itself whilst letting me indulge in my hobby. During the past year for example I have flown in three different police helicopters, had access to non public areas of Cosford Museum, spent a day flying with RAF Falcons Parachute team and have had press access to various aviation events. Coming up shortly I’m going to be taking some air to air photos for….’a new air taxi service’ – can’t say anymore yet!

On occasions I have also be known to take the odd motor sport photo and have had some success in this area.
Click...   For a number of years I have been the official photographer for four different motor clubs on Heart Of England Rally Championship events at Weston Park (2 per year) and Ditton Priors (2 per year). I’ve also had motor sport photographs published in Motor sport News, Express & Star, Stourbridge News, Wolverhampton Chronicle, Peugeot Press Release, Various Company Newsletters and a Coffee Table Book on Grand Prix’s.

I’m always happy to take or sell photos of cars or machines that fly but please don’t ask me to take photos of people or photos in the dark……

A recent specialty of mine has been photographing aircraft at low level flying in valleys below where I am situated. If you would like to purchase a print, have a relative or friend who flies in the services and might be interested in setting up a shoot, or require a photographer for a single venue event please do not hesitate to contact me at:

About Time Too!

Finally, on the motor sport front, I regularly visit race circuits, (I possess a press pass for Castle Coombe), rallies or short oval meetings and have competed in two road rallies in a vehicle  purchased off another NExposure competitor. With friend Dave Clayton sitting alongside, we claimed first beginner on our first event and 1st Novice, 9th O/A on our second event – Telford Auto Club’s 110 mile ‘About Time Too Road Rally.’
